- [Semmering](https://semmering.at/en/homepage/) — About 1.5 hours. Hike along the Semmering railway, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
- [Schneeberg cog railway](https://www.schneebergbahn.at/) — Train to Puchberg, then the cog railway to Vienna's local mountain. Runs spring to autumn.
- [Graz](https://www.graztourismus.at/en) — About 2.5 hours over the Semmering line. A long day, but worth it for the old town and the Schlossberg.
